St. Michael School is proud to once again offer Little Eagles (grades 1st and 2nd) and CYO basketball (grades 3rd through 8th). Players will have an opportunity for growth, exercise, and friendship through sports education and participation.

SCHEDULE3rd through 8th Grade Schedule
Practice times will be determined by coach and will take place in Livermore or Pleasanton. Most grade levels will practice one to two times per week. Games will start the first Sunday in November and go through the first Sunday of February. All games will take place on Sundays after 12 p.m. Girls will compete against catholic school from Livermore to Concord and boys will complete from Livermore to Danville.
Our 3rd through 8th grade girls' and boys' teams will be separated by gender. Our 3rd grade teams will be split at random. In grades 4th through 8th grades, if there are enough players for 3 teams, each player will have to attend an evaluation. We will let you know if this happens. Teams will be picked by coaches' draft. All other teams in grades 4th through 8th who do not have enough for 3 teams will be picked by a combination of the St. Michael Basketball Board and coaches.
1st and 2nd Grade "Little Eagles Basketball" Schedule
Games and practices will take place on Thursdays. On Thursdays they will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Practices will take place immediately before the games. The season will run November through January. We will have co-ed teams. Teams will be made at random by the league. -

We adhere to CYO Oakland Diocese Rules so there are no exceptions: While we would like to welcome everyone, you must meet one of the following eligibility criteria ...
- St. Michael School students and Faith Formation students
- St. Michael parish families
- St. Charles Faith Formation students that complete waiver and email to [email protected]
- Those residing within St. Michael's boundaries (verify your address)

The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), through the vehicle of sports, provides youth with an opportunity to practice Christian attitudes and responsibilities and to become friends with other children throughout the diocese. CYO activities should be examples of the meaning of Christian sportsmanship. The guiding principle behind the enforcement of this Code of Conduct is that the behavior of everyone involved in CYO should not detract from children's enjoyment of sports. -
COST
The cost to play below includes gym fees, referee costs, league fees, awards, insurance, and equipment.
Athlete MUST HAVE A ST. MICHAEL BASKETBALL UNIFORM (black, white, yellow) TO PARTICIPATE and includes shorts AND jersey. Pieces are NOT sold separately.
REGISTRATION- $260 per athlete if she/he has a full uniform from last year
- $325 per athlete if uniform is needed
We are pleased to offer a sibling discount of $10 for each additional player after the first from the same family.
Kindly note that if there are not enough players to form a team, a full refund will be given. No action is needed on your part.
If you wish to cancel your registration, refund requests must be sent to [email protected] by September 1 to receive a refund minus $100 to cover administrative fees. After September 1, no refunds will be issued. - $260 per athlete if she/he has a full uniform from last year

VOLUNTEERS
We invite all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and other family members to participate in this wonderful opportunity with the children.
Our program is in need of volunteers to serve as:- Coaches
- Assistant Coaches
- Team Parent
- Scorekeepers
- Referees
Volunteers must:- Complete Virtus Training every four years. Once completed, submit the certificate to the school office.
- Be fingerprinted through Live Scan. Email [email protected] for instructions.
St. Michael's families can earn up to five (5) volunteer hours for their time volunteering through CYO. -
