Why I Teach at St. Michael School During my time at St. Mary’s College, the words of St. John Baptist de La Salle, “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve,” became deeply ingrained in me. Choosing to teach at St. Michael School felt like a natural extension of that calling and an opportunity to continue living out the Lasallian values that shaped my own education. As a lifelong Livermore resident, it is especially meaningful to serve and give back to the community that raised me.
My Philosophy of Teaching I believe in creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported. My hands-on, play-based approach fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. I take a whole child approach, nurturing students’ academic, social/emotional, physical and spiritual growth.
My Background A proud Gael alumna, I earned my BA in Communication and Psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California and later returned to earn my MA in Leadership from the Kalmanovitz School of Education. Before joining Saint Michael School, I gained experience working with students of all ages through the Woodland School District, Barron Park Playschool, and six years as a nanny.
My Life Outside St. Michael Outside of St. Michael School, I love spending time with my family and friends. As a self-proclaimed social butterfly, I’m happiest simply being around the people I love! In my free time, you can usually find me cooking or baking sourdough, reading, listening to pop culture and comedy podcasts, or catching up on my favorite reality TV shows. I’m also a big Taylor Swift fan and love cheering on the St. Mary’s Gaels and San Francisco Giants!
